A key part of the Atlas of Caregiving Pilot is to suggest models of caregiving. Models help us understand the world. The development of good and widely-shared models of caregiving is critical for catalyzing innovation.
The pilot presents an opportunity to map new data "terrains." We can model the complex network of relationships involved in caring for others. We can map caregiving activities, the burdens of those activities, and even conversations about care. We can even connect caregiving tasks to disease progression maps for common chronic conditions.
As part of the project, we will start to share models and maps of data terrains here. Some of the models exist; we'll be prototyping new models and data visualizations in the study.
